ZIGGY CHEN Spring/Summer 2026 PRITRIKE
ZIGGY CHEN: 26SS PRITRIKE PRITRIKE stems from the fusion of Primal and Strike—it represents the primal power of Nature that gave life to the world we inhabit. A primordial energy that drives everything and revitalizes, like the light yet persistent summer rain of the Jiangnan region. PRITRIKE is composed of soft and comfortable garments that evoke ease and spontaneity. The materials reflect this primal energy: made from natural fibres such as hemp, silk, cotton, and linen. Special treatments include garment dyeing and bonding with a layer of gold. The raw roughness of the fabric becomes soft; the fibre’s intrinsic energy is vital and radiant. Instinct is tamed through sartorial know-how to create pieces that convey naturalness and intimacy. The colour palette begins with a primordial black and extends to its counterpart: a dusky, dirty white. These two chromatic poles are connected by a range of tones inspired by the natural world and the patina of time that alters and transforms: weathered stones, chipped lacquered wood, faded wallpaper, weather-beaten concrete, and worn metals. Lived-in nature forms the visual and tactile essence of SS26. The prints featured in PRITRIKE recall the effect of primal elements on matter—specifically, raindrops that modify and distort surfaces. Rain-soaked summer walls, with their accidental marks intertwined with ink stains, generate evocative patterns of a time gone by: silent, slow, yet charged with that primordial energy. PRITRIKE is a collection as intimate as it is deep, silent and intense, like lush summer nature at its peak. ZIGGY CHEN Fall/Winter 2025 VOLEISURE
In a contemporary world that pushes on the accelerator,ZIGGY CHEN offers a suspended, contemplative, and poetic momentum. VOLEISURE summarises Volition and Leisure, a relaxed and elegant attitude to everyday gestures. The textures and colours refer to the intricate traditional wooden architecture and watercolour painting. A blending of contrasts between the solidity of ancient wood and the fluidity and lightness of ink that slowly dissolves into water, an instant before leaving its mark on the paper. Mirroring sculpture through the geometry of movement and H A R R I’s architectural fashion
Delving into the intricate geometry of movement, London-based director Valentina Khodnevich frames the sculpture of the human body for short art film PUMP. Through static forms and kinetic postures, movement director Jasiah Marshall and dancer Kasia Kuzka enter a poetic dialogue in contemporary choreography – finding the quiet symmetry between motion and architectural design.…read more at nowness.com _______________________________________ Subscribe to NOWNESS here: http://bit.ly/youtube-nowness Like NOWNESS on Facebook: http://bit.ly/facebook-nowness Follow NOWNESS on Twitter: http://bit.ly/twitter-nowness Daily exclusives for the culturally curious: http://bit.ly/nowness-com Behind the scenes on Instagram: http://bit.ly/instagram-nowness Staff Picks on Vimeo: http://bit.ly/vimeo-nowness
